Store credit from Shopify Flow.
Shopify Flow can see almost everything in your store, but out of the box it can't issue store credit. Stork adds the action. Now a review, a refund, a VIP tag or 90 quiet days can all put credit in a customer's account.
- Add Store Credit action, on every plan
- Send your branded store credit emails from Flow
- Store Credit Issued trigger for your other apps
Example win-back workflow
What it does.
- Add Store Credit action. Set the email, amount, currency and expiry, using Flow variables if you like. A customer is created if none exists. The action returns the new balance for later steps, like a Slack message.
- Send Store Credit Email action. Sends your Store Credit Alert or Reminders template at any point in a workflow, with the customer's live balance filled in. On Grow and Unlimited.
- Store Credit Issued trigger. Starts a workflow whenever Stork issues credit, with the amount, source and campaign name. Tag the customer, post to Slack or add a spreadsheet row.
- Ready-made templates. Import workflows for welcome credit, spend thresholds, bonus credit on tagged products, lifetime spend milestones, VIP tags, apology credit for cancelled orders and win-backs.
- Rewards forms can't cover. Reviews, refunds, subscription milestones, support outcomes. If Flow has a trigger for it, it can earn credit.
Flow actions per month: 20 on Free, 50 on Grow and 5,000 on Unlimited. Each plan includes up to $1,000 of credit issued through Flow per billing period. Going over doesn't stop your workflows, we'll just be in touch.
Who it's for.
You pay for reviews in credit
If your review app publishes a Flow trigger, connect it to Add Store Credit and thank every reviewer automatically.
You'd rather keep the revenue
Add a bonus when customers take a refund as store credit instead of cash. A favourite for returns season after Black Friday.
Your rules need branches
Flow handles conditions, waits and several actions in a row. Stork's cashback rules handle the simple stuff.
Flow credit is the same native Shopify store credit as every other Stork reward, in the customer's own account, and it's counted in Stork's reporting.
"Its integration with Shopify Flow gives us plenty of flexibility, while keeping the customer experience straightforward."
Shopify Flow questions.
Can Shopify Flow issue store credit?
Not on its own. Install Stork Credit and Flow gets an Add Store Credit action. Add it after any trigger, map the customer's email and an amount, and turn the workflow on. It works on every Stork plan, including Free.
How do I give store credit for a product review?
Check whether your review app publishes a Shopify Flow trigger, such as a review published event. Start a workflow with it, add a condition if you only want to reward some reviews, then add Stork's Add Store Credit action. If reviews flow through Klaviyo instead, use Stork's webhook from Klaviyo.
Does the Flow action email the customer?
Not by default. Tick Notify customer to send Shopify's store credit email, or add Stork's Send Store Credit Email action for your own branded email. Use one or the other, not both, or the customer gets two emails.
Can I use the Store Credit Issued trigger and Add Store Credit in the same workflow?
Carefully. Issuing credit starts the trigger again, so the workflow can loop. Add a condition that Source is not equal to Flow.
How many Flow actions do I get on each plan?
20 a month on Free, 50 on Grow ($20/month) and 5,000 on Unlimited ($60/month). The Store Credit Issued trigger has no limit. When you run out, the action fails with the reset date until the next period or an upgrade.
If Flow can see it, credit can follow.
