Store credit reminder emails.
Store credit only brings customers back if they remember it's there. Most don't. Stork emails them about unspent credit, before it expires or a while after it landed, with their name, balance and expiry filled in.
- Expiry reminders, e.g. 30 days before credit runs out
- Live balance check right before every send
- Your design, your words, drag and drop
Example reminder rule and email
What it does.
- Expiry reminders. Email customers whose credit expires a set number of days after the run. Pair "30 days before expiry" with a daily schedule and everyone gets exactly one reminder, 30 days out.
- "You still have credit" nudges. Catch credit issued a while ago with a rolling window, like 61 to 60 days ago, repeated daily. Or pick a fixed date range for a one-off campaign.
- Minimum balance and subscribed-only filters. Skip customers with a few cents left, and only email people subscribed to email marketing if you want.
- Live balance check before each send. Right before every email goes, Stork checks the customer's balance again. Spent it since the run started? They're skipped. Nobody gets reminded about credit they no longer have.
- A drag-and-drop email. Design it in Stork's template editor. The customer's name, balance and expiry date fill in automatically, your Shopify brand logo sits at the top, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Run history. Every run records how many customers matched, how many were emailed, how many were skipped and why, plus a log per customer.
Reminders are on the Grow and Unlimited plans. Grow includes 1,000 emails per billing period and Unlimited includes 10,000. Store Credit Alert emails share the same allowance. See plans on the Shopify App Store.
Who it's for.
You put a clock on it
Expiry gets credit spent, but only if customers know the clock is ticking. A daily expiry reminder does the telling for you.
Cashback and refunds pile up
If you issue credit on every order through automatic cashback, a 60-day "you still have credit" nudge turns quiet balances into second orders.
You ran a big credit drop
Gave credit for Black Friday or a VIP pre-load? Send a one-off reminder to everyone who got it, using a fixed date range.
Reminders read each customer's native Shopify store credit balance and expiry, straight from their own Shopify customer account. There's no separate ledger to drift out of sync.
"This app has made managing our store credit a lot easier and the support from the team is unmatched. Would highly recommend"
Reminder email questions.
Which Stork Credit plans include store credit reminder emails?
Grow ($20/month) and Unlimited ($60/month). On the Free plan the reminder automation is greyed out. You can upgrade from the Plans page in the app at any time.
Can I edit the store credit reminder email?
Yes. Open Email templates in Stork and drag in text, images, buttons and dividers. Insert the customer's name, balance and expiry with the Merge Tags menu, and change the subject line too. A live preview shows exactly what customers will get. Changes apply from the next run.
Will customers who've already spent their store credit get the email?
No. Stork checks each customer's live balance again right before their email is sent. Anyone who spent their credit since the run started is skipped, and the run history shows them as skipped.
How many store credit reminder emails can I send?
1,000 per billing period on Grow and 10,000 on Unlimited, resetting with your billing period. Store Credit Alert emails and emails sent from Shopify Flow use the same allowance. A run that hits the cap stops and records the rest as skipped.
Why isn't my new store sending reminder emails yet?
Stores created less than 14 days ago can't send reminder emails. It protects email deliverability for every store using the app. You can create and switch on a rule straight away, and it starts sending once your store is 14 days old. Contact support if you need it sooner.
Make sure they spend it.
